Abstract

The Commission on Administrative Justice undertook suo motu investigations following media reports and upon receipt of complaints about the alleged irregular acquisition of land belonging to Langata Road Primary School by private individuals. This prompted the Commission to conduct investigations to find out circumstances surrounding the matter. CAJ notified the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, the Chairman, National Land Commission and the Governor, Nairobi City County in writing of its decision to undertake investigations. The team interviewed a number of officers and recovered several documents relevant to the investigations. The Commission sought to investigate the irregular acquisition of land belonging to Langata Road Primary School and establish public officers involved in the processing and transfer of the land in question.
