Abstract: | One of the key strategic issues the Commission has outlined in its Strategic Framework is ‘addressing the relatively low public awareness on matters of administrative justice’. Being a relatively new institution, the Commission is still a stranger to a majority of Kenyans and administrative justice issues it handles are still vague. It is on this premise that the Commission adopted county visits in 2012/2013 as one of the strategic approaches to enhance public awareness and participation in matters of administrative justice. The awareness programmes were anchored on the thinking that when people have the relevant information about the Commission, then they are able to seek its services. The activity is also in line with Strategic Objective 1 which focuses on addressing maladministration in the public sector. The main goal of the visits was to increase public awareness and accessibility of the commission. |
